Face Masks... Natural/Store bought...Which are your favorites?

about.com is a great place to find recipes for Natural Face Masks.  I am including 2 of them here for all of you. Try them and let me know how you like them. You can leave feedback on Creations by Missprissy and share your thoughts.

Egg White, Honey, and Lemon Juice Facial Mask

1 egg white

2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tbsp honey
Mix everything together until smooth and apply to a clean, freshly washed face. Allow the mask to dry, and then rinse well. Very well.
A little about the ingredients in this mask:
Egg whites. Are full of protein (which is great for nourishing the skin) and they do provide a great deal of firming power AND help reduce the appearance of your pores.
Lemon juice. Super powerful astringent here, which keeps oil and pimples at bay. Lemon juice also lightens the skin, reducing discoloration and giving your face a fresh glow.
Honey. Honey should be in everything all the time, it’s so awesome. In masks, it provides antibacterial power, luxurious moisturizing. Honey’s great for all skin types and for just about any facial care reason you can think of.

Avocado and Honey Face Mask:

This recipe for dry skin involves only 2 ingredients which can be found in your cupboard: avocados and honey which are particularly moisturizing.

Avocados and honey are particularly moisturizing. This mask is great for sun kissed skin, mature, or skin that has been dried from abrasive products and dry skin,. It's best to use a ripe, fresh, organic avocado. Make sure to mash it up into a creamy pulp.

Ingredients:
½ very ripe, soft avocado
¼ cup honey
Preparation:
Mash the avocado in a bowl, then stir in honey.
Apply to skin and leave for 10 minutes.
Rinse face with a cool washcloth.

I wanted to share one of my favorite Spring & Summer trends of this year, which turned out to be the bold red lip ( who would have guessed). How do you all feel about it? Do you wear it? If so which Red Lipstick is your favorite and why? Please leave your comments at My Business Page or My E-Mail.

Here is a picture of one of my favorite reds from Inglot Cosmetics.

Every now and then, we at the Hair & Makeup Artists Network like to step back and appreciate the work and journey of our fellow members. These members we choose to spotlight display an unwavering perseverance, strong body of work, and are simply inspirations to other HMAN Members.
This month, we are highlighting the work of HMAN Member: Laura Morales.

Laura was raised in Los Angeles by a single mother who always had her and her sisters working on multiple do it yourself projects. The love of arts and crafts has been in her family long since she can remember. From that, she has learned how to best be a team player that thinks quickly on her feet, which has helped while being on set for different productions.

Laura herself quotes, "I am always willing to assist in a production and learn from other make-up artists, my motto is we can all learn something from one another."
Laura's work has been featured in Giuseppina Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, Exotic LFL Calendar 2011, Exotic & Travel Magazine, as well as web series RedNeck Weddings and The Henchmenco. I have also had the pleasure of working with great talent for the American Music Awards 2012, Rawartists.org, Youtube and GeneroTV Music Videos, TV Promo’s, in the Red carpet and Fashion Shows.
She has also had the pleasure of working with some great Non-Profit Foundations such as American Cancer Society, Beauty Bus Foundation, No worries Now Prom, and Relay for Life, MS Bike and MS Walk. Her  Make-Up capabilities include Beauty, Light Special FX, and Airbrush Make-Up. The best reward that I have received is to hear from a client “I am beautiful” as they turn and look at their reflection in the mirror.
She currently works with a photographic group and does the coordinating and styling for the photography shoots.
